Boating in and around Baywood

Several residences have expressed concerns regarding Canoeing & Kayaking in and around Baywood Village. Within Baywood we should not have any real concerns if boaters and Kayakers follow the inland rules of the road. All vessels should stay to the right of the channel or shore line not to impede passage. An idle speed should be maintained, meaning minimum speed that allows proper steerage of the vessel. Basically this is common sense.

When egressing to and from Baywood Village on the north side of the park, please be mindful of the Canoes and Kayak that maybe in the area. Likewise any Kayaks should assist power boats egress by staying close to the shore line during high tides. Once the power boat starts the boat on plane it is dangerous to the grass beds and the boater to come off plane. The power boat is responsible for their wake.
